Siddur B’chol D’rachecha ("In All Your Ways"), first published in 2018, was meticulously developed to meet the specific needs of Adraba participants, with particular attention to individuals requiring linguistic and cognitive accessibility. It includes traditional egalitarian liturgy for the weekday Shaharit service on Torah-reading days—including Rosh Hodesh and Hanukkah—as well as a selection of key prayers and blessings for Shabbat and Jewish holidays.
Accessibility is provided in three primary ways:
- Introductory paragraphs in simplified Hebrew before each section, explaining the structure of the service, including who does what at each stage—whether it is the prayer leader, the congregation, communal or silent prayer, etc.
- Clear summaries and simplified explanations of selected blessings and prayers.
- Use of visual communication symbols to capture the main idea of each prayer, along with symbol-based communication (AAC—Augmentative and Alternative Communi-cation) for selected blessings.
The siddur is available in two formats:
- Service Edition: Utilized during ceremonies and group study sessions; includes weekday prayers and the Torah service.
- Personal Edition: Gifted to each participant; includes additional prayers for Shabbat, holidays, and home rituals, fostering continued engagement.
Need for Reprint
The sustained success of the Adraba program, coupled with a growing demand for accessible Jewish resources across Israel, has led to the near depletion of our existing stock of the personal edition of Siddur B’chol D’rachecha. To ensure we can continue to meet the spiritual and educational needs of future Adraba participants, we urgently seek to reprint 2,000 copies. Without this reprint, upcoming cohorts of children with disabilities will lack this vital, specially designed resource for their bar and bat mitzvah preparations and ongoing Jewish engagement.
