You may or may not know that the Israeli government currently does not support Masorti (Conservative) or Reform synagogues, although it provides significant funding to Orthodox synagogues. In addition to the lack of government support or funds, most native Israelis find it very strange to pay dues to a synagogue. Therefore, until government funding for non-Orthodox synagogues is activated - we will hold out hope! - Kehillat Veahavta relies heavily on donations, in addition to membership dues and program fees.
